is an experimental concert series presenting a platform for Thereminists and Students of the Theremin to present new works and explorations in front of an audience.

Starting its experimental Theremin Orchestra Series in 2007 at Issue Project Room, when the NY Theremin Society was founded, THEREMIN Lab presents its first concert series event as part of the NEW EAR FESTIVAL at FRIDMAN GALLERY 9-13th of january 2018.

The NY Theremin Society is delighted to start 2019 with a round of local Theremin Workshops taking place Sunday, January 13th at the Fridman Gallery, 169 Bowery as part of the New Ear Festival. Reserve your space for a Theremin Masterclass - Classes are offered for beginners as well as advanced students and are held by thereminist Dorit Chrysler with assistance of Charlie Hobbs and William Tucci. Dorit is the founder of Kid Cool Theremin School and has brought her passionate Theremin Teachings to children and adults worldwide, most recently establishing L’Ecole Theremine during a two year residency in Paris at the Gaite Lyrique Museum. Charlie Hobbs is the creator of the Hobbs Theremin, William Tucci is the Music Director of the Reece School in Spanish Harlem.

2pm - Theremin Master Class (Theremins are provided for each student, class is limited to ten participants - all levels) - duration: 1+hour

4pm - Theremin Master Class (Theremins are provided for each student, class is limited to ten participants - all levels) - duration: 1+hour

11.30am - Theremin Class for Children 7+years (Theremins are provided for each student, class is limited to ten participants) - duration: 45+min.

One On One Private Theremin Master Class House Visit with Dorit Chrysler - Available upon request.
